Premier Homecare Services Toronto Central provides compassionate palliative care should you need it.

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It focuses on providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness—whatever the diagnosis. The goal of palliative care is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. Palliative care is appropriate for patients in all disease stages, including those undergoing treatment for curable illnesses and those living with chronic diseases, as well as patients who are nearing the end of life.

Premier Homecare Services Toronto Central understands the special care and supervision needs of patients during this difficult time. For the family, caring for a loved one with a serious illness can be exhausting and challenging – but you don’t have to do it alone. Our compassionate caregivers can support the family directly as well as work in conjunction with the hospice team to fully address the family’s needs.

Our caregivers will see to it that your loved one will be given the best palliative care possible, so that families can make the most of their time together. We will support you and your loved one with respect, dignity and compassion.

Premier Homecare Services Toronto Central provides compassionate one-on-one care and attention to help minimize post-op discomfort, recognize possible complications and reduce stress on you and your loved ones.

Why should you choose a professional caregiver to help while you recover?

Many patients get a professional caregiver to care for themselves during the initial days of post-op because their physical condition can often prevent them from performing normal activities.

Your doctor may also require you to have someone with you during the initial phase of your recovery, as they know that no energy should be spent on activities that could interfere with recovery. In addition, you may feel disoriented, dazed and “out of it” due to the anesthesia and medications (such as painkillers) that may be administered. As a result, your coordination may be limited and you may have trouble standing, walking, focusing on normal tasks, perhaps even worsening post-operative symptoms such as swelling and bruising.

For these reasons, having a professional caregiver, who can assist you in performing all of your necessary daily activities, can be a great benefit while you are healing. Imagine recovering better and faster with the peace of mind of knowing you are safe in the comfort of home.
