We look for people who have a passion for working with seniors to help them live independently. We expect our caregivers to be compassionate caring personalities with a real desire to work with people in need. Each applicant is thoroughly screened - including criminal record and vulnerable sector checks, independent references and personal interview by the owners - to ensure they meet the highest standard for providing home care services. The test for the owners and management of Premier Homecare Toronto Central is to ask ourselves “Would we feel good about having this person to care for our own family members?”
But it doesn't stop there. Once they are hired, caregivers go through an orientation program given by our management team, which covers our policies and procedures as well as our expectations of the caregivers. Caregivers are also encouraged to participate in on-going training opportunities to enhance their skills.
